During the semester, we will explore and examine artistic works that engage with the concepts of transmission and broadcast, and we will design and execute our own projects.The course is integrated with the broadcast schedule ofbauhaus.fm106.6 MHz. Our goal is to experiment live with various broadcast formats focused on the theme of transmissions.From mobile radio and nomadic transmissions to the radio studio and the Klanglabor of the university, from short live impulses to durational soundscape broadcasts, and from the transmission of spaces to transmitting an experimental sound concert, we will cover a broad spectrum of broadcasting techniques.Throughout the course, we will utilize different analog and digital transmission methods, various microphone techniques, and listening approaches. We will also explore the broadcast capabilities of the Bauhaus University studios and mobile setups for DIY transmissions.The aim is to produce biweekly broadcasts onbauhaus.fm, making regular attendance a prerequisite.During the semester we will collaborate on certain transmission with Radio Monteaudio from Montevideo in UruguayPlease send a motivation letter toeleftherios.krysalis@uni-weimar.deuntil the 13th of October.
